Dog In New Mexico Animal Shelter Cries Each Night Until She Finally Gets Adopted

There’s nothing as heartbreaking as the sight of someone crying…and this puppy is proving that it’s not just humans who let their tears flow when their hearts are heavy. One sweet, boxer-type puppy found itself abandoned in a shelter and could only express her pain of being homeless with the tears that ran down her cheeks.

New Mexico’s High Plains Humane Society works hard to ensure that all the dogs in the area manage to find homes where they will be loved and valued by using the internet and social media to attract the attention of prospective families. When they met the sad puppy at a nearby shelter, they knew that they had to do something to get her a home! This poor puppy was desperate for attention and would climb up on the walls to the cage, begging for someone to pet her as obvious tears poured down her furry cheeks. Her large eyes looked empty and hollow as if she was pleading with anyone who walked by to please take her home with them.

The High Plains Humane Society volunteers weren’t going to leave this sweet girl to live her life crying in a cage. They captured a picture of her tears and then posted the image on social media, inviting readers to offer her a home. The results were astonishing! Not only did hundreds of pet owners respond to the sad picture, but there were many applications with homes anxious to adopt this sad little girl. Out of all the applicants, one woman in particular stood out from the rest.

The crying puppy was taken to her new home where she quickly left her tears behind. Now, this once-sad and a lonely girl is a happy, thriving dog that loves to spend time with her new family and enjoy their company. Full of energy and excitement, this puppy can now enjoy her life and spread the love she has with those around her. Her new owner beams as the dog jumps up for some loving!

If we work together, we can end the plight of homeless animals by opening our hearts and lives to them. We can hope that, one day, there will be no more sad puppies crying in the shelter alone!
