When Lily received the diagnosis of her tumor, doctors said she wasn't going to survive. In fact, no dog had survived such a tumor in more than 25 years. But Lily was a fighter, and she pulled through.

Lily and Lily's owner were both ecstatic when they received the news. When Lily's owner gave her the news, the dog had an adorable reaction that was captured on footage.

Lily's owner shared the heartwarming video through her social media pages. She said that Lily became terribly ill overnight. She wasn't even able to stand. When her owner took her to the vet, the vet found out there was a tumor on the dog's spleen. It was causing internal bleeding, which had made Lily so anemic that she needed an emergency blood transfusion. Otherwise, she would have died in hours.

After the doctors stabilized her, they gave the owner the bad news: The cancer was called hemangiosarcoma. It's a common condition found in golden retrivers. The symptoms manifest very quickly. If the dog didn't undergo surgery right away, she would be dead in days. And even if the surgery was completed, Lily would still only have months to live.

At the time, there was only a 10 percent chance that the tumor was benign instead of malignant. The veterinarian said that she'd been practicing emergency medicine for more than 25 years, and she'd never seen circumstances where that was the case.

Even though the odds weren't good for Lily, her owners had the surgery done instead of letting her die. They had to empty their entire savings account to cover the cost. The vet took out a tumor that weighed six pounds!

After the surgery, the veterinarians told Lily's owners to manage their expectations.

Her owner kept holding out hope that the tumor was benign, but the veterinarian said that this never happened. But then, one week after the surgery, the family received the results.

The adorable video caught Lily's glorious reaction to finding out she's cancer free.
