Dog Gets Locked Out By Accident At 2am And Rings The Doorbell With Her Nose

Chika, a Labrador mix, got locked out of her house. It was 2am, and the dog's owners, Robert and Angelia Fox, were sound asleep in their bed. Chika did not have a doggie door to crawl through. There were no open windows. She was a little upset about how she could get back inside the house and cuddle up in her own bed.

It did not take long for Chika to come up with a solution. She figured if her master locked her outside without checking to make sure she was inside, he could pay the consequences by opening the door to let her in. So what if it was 2am!

So, Chika ran over to the front door and quickly located the buzzer to ring the doorbell. Her first attempt was unsuccessful, reports the New York Post.

The dog, living in McDonough, GA, got on her hind legs to tap the buzzer one more time, this time with success. Unfortunately, Robert and Angelia did not hear the bell ring. Chika, being the polite dog she is, didn't ring the bell again.

Instead, she sat down on the porch for a few seconds and then scurried off into the yard. However, the couple eventually realized their dog was not in the house, so they quickly opened the door and greeted their dog-in-waiting, states Fox News.

Chika has become quite a star. It seems her owners captured her ringing the doorbell, during those early hours, on a doorbell-cam. This is one of those stories your grandkids should hear about as we enter this joyful holiday season.
