When Koda, Rachel Howatt’s Husky, ran away from home for a time span of several days, Rachel searched all over trying to find her dog, especially in the nearby woods, but she had no luck.

However, several days later, Koda reappeared on her own and acted as if nothing unusual had happened during that time.

When Rachel later thought of checking the trail camera that belonged to her neighbor, she discovered that Koda was not only on it repeatedly, but the amazing pictures showed that she had made a new friend with a male deer, that the time they spent together was surprisingly approximately over 12 hours, and that there were two bucks with her in one of the photos!

Huskies are known to have a free spirit, are loyal, sociable, good-natured, playful, highly intelligent, full of energy and strength, like lots of exercise and activities, are outgoing and friendly, have a mind of their own, weigh in at about a medium-sized 40 to 50 pounds, have beautiful coats, run at surprising speeds, like to be outdoors in cold weather, make excellent family pets as they love children, normally get along well with other dogs, and can be clever escape artists like Koda.

Although Rachel plans to do everything that she possibly can to keep Koda from running away again, she realizes that the dog may possibly get an urge to go back to revisit her friend to have the fun and companionship that she enjoyed on this particular occasion.
