From including your pet in your family holiday photo card, to making sure they have a fully-stuffed stocking and gifts under the tree, the holidays are a great time to celebrate the joy your pet brings you all year round. One pup parent found a truly cool way to celebrate his pup this Halloween season.

According to Bored Panda, Andy Manoloff is the dog dad to a Pomeranian pup named Sophie. Everyone who sees the pair together can instantly tell that Sophie is the furry apple of Andy’s eye. This Halloween Andy decided to go above and beyond to make it a special Sophie-centric Halloween by spending more than three hours turning Sophie into a Pomeranian pumpkin.

Andy carves a pumpkin every Halloween into a fantastic jack-o-lantern. This year his jack-o-lantern with Sophie’s adorable Pomeranian face on it was the smash of the neighborhood. According to Andy, he looks forward to challenging himself to carve something more difficult than the year before. He starts pondering months before it’s time to carve to see what challenge he can come up with that year.

Every year Andy dresses his dogs up for Halloween, and one year the group even came dressed up as a league of superheroes. The four precious pups came dressed as Superman, Wonderwoman, Batman, and Captain America, all as adorable as can be! However, Sophie was the luckiest of the four Pomeranians. She was chosen that year to be featured on Andy’s pumpkin work of art.

Andy began the complex carving process by hand-drawing a sketch of little Sophie directly on the pumpkin, complete with oranges, yellows, and reds adorning Sophie’s fluffy collar of fur.

Andy loves to do artwork and it’s a good thing he does because sketching directly on a pumpkin must have taken him hours. Then, Andy used an X-Acto knife to intricately carve out Sophie’s face on the pumpkin, also using some clay sculpting tools.

What do you think about this incredible pumpkin-bound image of Sophie? Doesn’t it look just like her? Would you have the patience to spend over three hours carving out something so intricate? Pass this story along to anyone who wants to be impressed by such a fantastic jack-o-lantern carving!
