Dog Abandoned At Animal Shelter With All Of His Toys And Bed

Animals get dropped off at shelters all of the time. Many are strays that people find on the street but cannot take care of. They turn to their local shelter to take the animal, which is often the best idea for everyone.

This wasn’t the case for Wall-E, a dog that was abandoned at the shelter he was bought from by his family. They brought him back, dropping him off with all of his dog toys and his bed. Wall-E was just 3-years-old when he was adopted from Maricopa County Animal Care and Control. The Lab mix had been with his family for three years before they decided to bring him back to the shelter.

According to the shelter, the owner brought Wall-E back with all of his toys in two plastic bins. The family was unable to care for the dog any longer. They decided that it was in the best interest of the Lab to bring him back to the shelter they adopted him from. According to volunteers at the shelter, the decision from the family had not been made lightly, and the owner cried as he said his goodbyes to the sweet dog.

The scared dog didn’t understand what was going on. He barked and barked inside of his kennel. As the months went by, the poor animal became withdrawn when visitors came. However, animal shelter volunteers saw his true side. He would become happy and playful when someone took the time to be with him.

The shelter took to their Facebook page to post a picture of Wall-E. They also explained how he ended up at the shelter. They posted that the now 6-year-old Lab mix needed a forever home from owners who would not give up on him.

Jordan Bader runs the Facebook page for the shelter. After Wall-E had been at the shelter for months, Jordan decided to post on the page on behalf of the dog. He explained how the dog had come to be at the shelter along with a picture.

We are happy to report that the post worked like a charm! A woman named Lynn Lee came out and met Wall-E. She brought her own dog and the two became friends quickly. Wall-E now has a new home, one that he will hopefully stay in until the very end.
