Dr. Andrew-Jaja has proudly delivered over 8,000 babies throughout his storied 40-year career, People reports. The beloved doctor has even brought multiple generations of the same family into this world.

What sets Dr. Andrew-Jaja apart from the other doctors is his commitment to welcome each new life with a smile and a song. As each baby makes its entrance, Dr. Andrew-Jaja takes it upon himself to serenade the new life with songs such as “Happy Birthday” and “What a Wonderful World."

Known in Pittsburgh as the "The Singing Doctor," Dr. Andrew Jaja retired from his trade in June of 2019. As a testament to the impact that he has had on the residents of this community, the city of Pittsburgh went so far as to declare May 16 as "Jaja Day." This designation is truly fitting for the doctor who has meant so much to so many families.
