Back in the mid-1980s, a secret album of country music was put together that included famous NASCAR drivers and singing icons. But one very renowned driver did both. His name? Dale Earnhardt Sr.

Yes, and you might have already heard of the album by now - World Series of Country Music: Stock Car Racing's Entertainers Of Year, Volume One. Well, this album was created and sung by the famous NASCAR driver. Who knew that this is what he got up to in his spare time! Crazy!

He wasn't alone either, as he was joined by fellow enthusiasts: Kype Petter, Ricky Rudd, Bobby Allison, Ned Jarrett, Terry Labonte and Richard Childress. The came together with one aim, and that was to finally combine the likes of country music with NASCAR.

At the end of the day, they did pretty well from it and even managed to secure some long-term careers in singing. So if the drivers ever felt that they had enough of the collisions behind the wheel, they had another future which they could pursue. Although Dale didn't manage to get a record deal with his single "Hard Charger" he still managed to get a lot of attention from the crowds at the NASCAR races.
