Disney-Like Scenes As Rare Pink Elephant Is Discovered In South Africa

Recently, in South Africa, a unique elephant was spotted among its family members. It was a young elephant, but its pink color distinguishes it from the rest of the elephants in the reserve. It got its pink skin color from suffering from a rare leucism condition.

The three-week-old elephant caught Safari ranger Tim Jansen Van Vuuren’s attention and he went ahead to capture the beautiful moment. It was captured playing in the wilderness in MalaMala Game Reserve located in Kruger National Park, South Africa.

The three-week-old elephant suffered from a rare leucism condition that manifests in its in partial loss of skin pigmentation that explains its pink skin color.

The pink elephant’s case is one of the rarest and that Tim Jansen Van Vuuren hadn’t seen anything like that before.

It is intriguing to see such conditions at first hand as they are rarely documented in books. Tim wanted to share this rare occurrence with the world so he posted the video online and immediately caught people’s attention.

An interested audience member commented that the little elephant was beautiful and prayed that it would be safe for the rest of its years as well as its family members and other animals in the wild.
