There’s nothing that gives you confidence like having a great smile and having a damaged smile can greatly deter you from having confidence. It’s been proven that just the act of smiling can boost happiness and confidence.
Unfortunately, for many people throughout the world, dental visits and oral hygiene just are not possible. In many poverty-stricken countries, simply owning a toothbrush is seen as a win.

Brazilian dentist Felipe Rossi stepped in to change that for those less fortunate. Felipe has seen how much it means to have a smile that they are excited to share with the world. He also is deeply aware of how much it can hurt someone emotionally and physically to have a smile that includes rotten teeth, cavities, and broken teeth.
That’s when Felipe launched a charity called Por1sorrio that had the singular goal to fix the teeth and other oral issues of impoverished people throughout the world. So far, he’s helped over 1,500 people, all at no cost, as stated in The Daily Mail.
Felipe shares incredible before and after pictures of many of the thousands of people whose teeth he’s fixed on his Instagram page. It’s incredible to see these before and after pictures.
It isn’t just the results of the work he’s done on their teeth that is so amazing; it is the fact that you can see the change in their demeanor. You can see how bright, beaming, and joyful they are in the after pictures.
Felipe doesn’t just focus on teeth restoration. He also provides routine medical treatments that many of these people have gone an entire lifetime without having access to. Basic cleanings, fillings, crowns, and root canals are also medical treatments that the charity provides.
There have been over 4,000 people who have volunteered to accompany Felipe on his trips to serve people living below the poverty line. His typical mission trip takes around 5 days and has a price tag of around $5,000. Much of this is sponsored by donors or fundraisers.
How incredible is it that Felipe and his army of volunteers dedicate their time and energy to do these services? They must make such a major difference in the lives of the people who receive these precious dental treatments.
