A dentist from Anchorage, Alaska was found guilty this week after a video captured him extracting a tooth of a sedated patient as he rode a hoverboard. The video went viral which sparked a wider investigation into the dentist's practice.

34-year-old Seth Lookhart was found guilty by a judge on 46 counts. Some of the counts included "unlawful dental acts, reckless endangerment and Medicaid fraud", according to KTUU. The video incident occurred in 2016, where Lookhart can be seen extracting a tooth while balancing on a hoverboard, after he is finished he rides out of the room in excitement while stripping off his gloves.

According to KTUU, investigators discovered that Lookhart had also texted the video to at least 8 other people and said that his actions were the "new standard of care." The patient in the video, Veronica Wilhelm, was unaware Lookhart was on a hoverboard or was recording her dental extraction.

She testified against the dentist in court and said to him directly, "What you did was outrageous, narcissistic and crazy." Lookhart's attorney told the courts, "I want you to know that as his lawyer, I apologize for what he did on that hoverboard." The Alaska Dental Board has suspended his dental license until further notice.
