The couple was enjoying the sunset at the northernmost point of the island of Oahu at Turtle Bay, which turned out to be a perfect setting for a romantic proposal. He described it as “kind of spontaneous” and “very much a surprise” to Extra

“I had the ring in my pocket. It has been kind of a month-and-a-half plan,” said the actor. “I wanted it to be private.”

The actor described the exciting moment, and what hilariously happened as he proposed. He said that Laura was taking a selfie of the two of them and when he asked her “Will you marry me?” while putting the ring in front, she fell down.

People reports that Savoie is from Missouri and is working on her Ph.D. in accounting at the University of Texas in Austin, graduating in 2021. The couple has been spotted vacationing this summer in Italy and having a date night in Los Angeles. This will be Quaid’s fourth marriage after Kimberly Quaid, and actresses Meg Ryan and P.J. Soles.
