Demi Moore Says She And Bruce Willis’ Wife Emma Heming Are ‘Mothers United, Sisters Bonded’

When it comes to top-notch actors in Hollywood, Bruce Willis is a name that many people would put on that list. The actor is most famous for his roles in action films, but he has shown to have quite a diverse set of talents, appearing in films and television shows in a variety of genres. On top of that, Willis is also adored for his amazing qualities as a husband and father.

Willis was born on March 19, 1955, in Idar-Oberstein, Germany. He later moved to the United States and was raised in Penns Grove, New Jersey. In his teens, Willis discovered his passion for acting and began participating in his high school’s dramatic arts program. He later moved to New York City and appeared in a few off-Broadway plays before finally finding his footing in the world of television and film.

He had his breakthrough in 1985 with the TV series “Moonlighting,” and has since appeared in over 70 films. While he is recognized for his work as an action star, Willis has also shown that his talents span a variety of genres. Some of his most loved films include “Pulp Fiction,” “The Sixth Sense” and “Die Hard.”

As a celebrity, Willis is no stranger to having his personal life be publicized. His first marriage to Demi Moore led to a very public divorce. Thankfully, the two actors have remained friends and great co-parents to their three daughters. Now, Willis is married to a model named Emma Heming, and the couple has two daughters of their own. Willis and Moore were married from 1987 to 2000. During that time, they welcomed three daughters: Rumer, born in 1988, Scout, born in 1991, and Tallulah, born in 1994. After their divorce, Willis and Moore remained friends and have continued to work well together as co-parents. 

Speaking with PEOPLE in 2021, Rumer talked about how thankful she was that her parents co-parented so well together.

“I’m incredibly grateful that both of my parents have made such an effort my entire life that I never felt like I had to choose between them,” she said.

After his divorce from Moore, Willis went on to find love again, although it took several years. He married Heming in 2009 and the couple has been inseparable ever since. Some of their wedding guests even included Moore and her then-husband Ashton Kutcher. Willis and Heming also went on to welcome two of their own daughters: Mabel, born in 2012, and Evelyn, born in May 2014.

Following Evelyn’s birth, her parents released a statement saying that they were “overjoyed about the newest member of their family,” as per The Hollywood Reporter. According to Hollywood Life, Mabel enjoys stargazing through telescopes with Willis and spending time with her younger sister and older half-siblings. Evelyn is interested in sewing, ice skating and exploring the great outdoors.

Nowadays, Willis, Heming and Moore – and their children – all get along extremely well and have created a beautiful, blended family. This big blended family showed just how much they enjoy each other’s company during the pandemic.

According to PEOPLE, Moore, Willis, Heming and their kids quarantined together in Idaho earlier in the pandemic, something that meant a lot to Rumer. “I think it was just amazing to be together and have so much time, even though we all live in California and live relatively close to each other,” she explained.

Rumer added:

“Just to be able to really spend quality time and be outside and be in our family home and be not only with my sisters and my mom and their partners, but my little sisters and my dad and my step-mom. It was a time that I, like, in a lot of ways, even though it was really challenging for the world, I am deeply grateful for it because I don’t know if we would have gotten that time together otherwise.”

Over the years, the family has shared plenty of photos together on social media, showing off just how amazing their blended unit is. On March 9, 2021, Moore posted in honor of International Women's Day and praised two women in her life — the actress Soleil Moonfrye and Heming. About the latter she wrote:

"I #SeeHer as family who I am honored to call a friend. Our children are sisters and yet there is no name for what our family connection is to one another. We are mothers united, sisters bonded on this crazy adventure of life. Emma is a beautiful mother dedicated to her family, an absolutely gorgeous woman and now she can add business entrepreneur to her resume. ... Her drive, determination and passion is uplifting and the woman that she is absolutely inspiring."

Then on Aug. 1, 2021, Heming and Moore uploaded the same photo of their daughters to their respective Instagram accounts. Heming captioned her post, “Sisterhood is such a beautiful thing,” while Moore captioned hers, “Love their special bond.”
