Demi Moore Revived Signature Bangs Decades After ‘Striptease’ Days

Oct 15, 2025 by apost team

Demi Moore knows how to make a statement, and this time, it’s all about the bangs. The Golden Globe winner revisited one of her most memorable styles, marking its return for the first time since the late ’90s.

Moore hit the big time in 1985 when she portrayed Jules in “St. Elmo’s Fire.” In detail, she became a core member of the “Brat Pack.” According to Insider, the term “Brat Pack” was coined by New York Magazine journalist David Blum to describe Hollywood’s rising young movie stars.

Moore made her leading lady debut in “Ghost,” where she starred alongside Patrick Swayze. Her performance earned her a Golden Globe nomination. Goldberg ranked “Ghost” as one of Moore’s most outstanding performances, while her roles in “A Few Good Men” and “About Last Night” were ranked second and third.

Since then, she’s dominated the screen, appearing in movies such as “G.I. Jane.” At one point in the late 1990s, she was the highest-paid actress in Hollywood. Fans of the actress will recall the look from her role as Erin Grant, a former FBI office assistant, in the 1996 film “Striptease.”

Decades later, Moore’s revival of the signature style proves that her timeless charm and effortless confidence remain as captivating as ever, reminding audiences why she continues to be a Hollywood icon both on and off screen.

On Oct. 6, 2025, Moore took to Instagram to share two photos with the caption: “Bangs — now and then. Thank you @gucci for letting me bring back the fringe for the first time since the Striptease days!”

Her post was a nod to her role as Barbara Gucci in the fashion house’s short film “The Tiger,” released on Sept. 23, 2025, and directed by Halina Reijn and Spike Jonze.

In the first image, Moore appeared effortlessly chic in a simple white T-shirt with a relaxed fit, paired with classic denim jeans. The “The Substance” star, recognized for her signature long, sleek, jet-black hair typically parted in the middle, opted for a soft, voluminous blowout featuring freshly styled bangs by Dimitris Giannetos.

The second image offered a close-up of Moore, capturing a hairstyle nearly identical to her look in “Striptease.” Giannetos, who created the hairstyle, posted his own Instagram carousel on Sept. 25, 2025, featuring the same image and captioned: “DEMI MOORE x GUCCI 🐅.”

He also added:

“When @demimoore called me to share the exciting news about her new film w @gucci and that she wanted me to create the hair for the character I had the chills!”

Before filming “The Tiger,” Giannetos collaborated with the production team to finalize Moore’s appearance. He explained that Gucci’s creative director, Demna, “had the idea of the bangs’ the GUCCI BANGS’ and ofc he always has the right vision.” Once the hairstyle was “created,” Giannetos said they all “knew that was the right look for the film!”

Expressing gratitude, Giannetos added:

“Thanks Demi for trusting me in such big project ! And thanks @demna and the the rest of the team for all your support! i was so amazed to see Demi performing literally mind blowing!”
