Demi Moore Remembers Kelly Preston With Sweet Flashback Featuring John Travolta And Bruce Willis

Since the tragic news of Kelly Preston's passing on Sunday, July 12th, people the world over have been sharing about her life. Preston, who was John Travolta's wife of 28 years, died following a two-year fight against breast cancer, which she kept away from the public.

Adding to the tributes, Demi Moore posted a photo of Preston and Travolta, alongside herself and her ex-husband Bruce Willis, and included a touching caption.

Posting to her Instagram page, the photo looks like it could be from the 1980s, with all four of the actors looking very youthful. Demi is wearing a cowboy hat while Bruce is in a denim jacket holding what could be their eldest child Rumer. Kelly Preston looks gorgeous with curly hair and is playfully pretending to bite the child's foot, while John Travolta and his head full of hair hark back to his heartthrob days. But alas, the photo is tinged with sadness upon the news of Preston's death. Demi captioned the post:

"The world has lost one of the most beautiful, kind, generous, tender-loving souls that has graced this earth. Rest easy @therealkellypreston, we will miss you 💔"

Preston’s tragic death was announced by her husband via Instagram late Sunday evening. Posting a beautiful picture of his late wife, Travolta wrote:

“It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer. She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many. My family and I will forever be grateful to her doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, all the medical centers that have helped, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side. Kelly's love and life will always be remembered."

It's crushing to read, especially knowing Preston leaves behind two children with Travolta—Ella and Benjamin—who are 20 and 9 respectively. They also had a third child, Jett, who died tragically from a seizure in 2009 at the age of 16. In the same Instagram post Travolta commented on being there for his children at this time, writing:

"I will be taking some time to be there for my children who have lost their mother, so forgive me in advance if you don’t hear from us for a while. But please know that I will feel your outpouring of love in the weeks and months ahead as we heal. All my love, JT"

Many other celebrities are mourning Preston's death, including Maria Shriver, Lost star Daniel Dae Kim, and director Cameron Crowe, who directed Preston in the movie Jerry Maguire. Our thoughts are with John Travolta and his children at this time.
