Demi Lovato Shares A Natural "No Makeup" Selfie

Demi Lovato showed the world she is comfortable in her own skin, by posting a #NoMakeupMonday photo of herself – something she hasn't done in a long while.

The 27-year-old singer took to Instagram to show the world and her followers that she is proud of who she is, and how she looks. She wants to send out the message that everyone should be confident enough to not hide behind screens or masks, but to show their true selves to the world, and feel empowered by doing so.

Lovato, who has re-emerged stronger after a difficult time involving drug use in 2018, has proved she has turned a corner. She wrote alongside the photo: "Proud of my freckles, proud of booty chin and proud of myself for loving and accepting myself the way I am."

In an intimate interview with Teen Vogue, Lovato revealed the conclusion she has come to, stating:

"Over the past five years I've learned life is not worth living unless you're living for yourself. If you're trying to be someone you're not, or you're trying to please other people, it's not going to work out in the long run," she said. "If you want to dye your hair purple, dye your hair purple. If you want to love someone of the same sex, love someone of the same sex. Be yourself and don't be afraid of what people think."
