Delivery Driver Saves Woman From Attempted Kidnapping At Customer's House

Joey Grundl never imagined that he would become a hero simply by showing up for his job as a pizza delivery driver in Waldo, Wisconsin.

Yet that is what happened when Joey delivered a pizza to a customer one day. When he arrived at the front door, he handed the pizza to a middle-aged man not knowing what was truly happening inside the home. Joey thought it was a normal delivery until something odd happened to catch his eye.

Joey noticed a woman standing behind the man who answered the door. She caught his attention when she pointed to her bruised eye and mouthed the words "help me." Shortly after, she silently mouthed to Joey that he needed to call the police. Joey knew that he had to take action. As soon as he got back into his vehicle, he called 911 and explained to him what he witnessed when he delivered a pizza.

Law enforcement officials arrived on the scene and took the woman out of the situation, charging the man with kidnapping and other crimes. They found out that he had entered his ex-girlfriend's house and held her against her will. Thanks to Joey's heroic act, she has now been saved.

He notes to Inside Edition that, "Sometimes it's best to just pay attention to what's going on. You never know when someone maybe is trying to give you a little hint there."
