‘Death Core’ Tattoo Artist Undergoes Radical Glam Makeover And Surprises Family

Transformations are one part of the internet that bring in a lot of fascinated viewers. One of the more well-known people who has provided innumerable transformations is Christopher Hopkins, a.k.a The Makeover Guy, who has given various women confidence and a new lease on their lives after incredible makeovers. Generally, a haircut and a makeover are enough to bring out the best of these women, but the makeovers are never extreme. They aim to highlight a woman's already existing, best features instead.

However, some other transformations are extreme in their nature, just to see what it would be like to become someone entirely unlike yourself. This was the case for 25-year-old Jordan, whose identity lies in her makeup, specifically what she describes as "deathcore." The video below shows Jordan transforming form a "Deathcore girl" to "girl next door" thanks to a makeup artist who will fundamentally transform her look. 

Jordan is a tattoo artist who herself has extensive tattoos all over her body and many on her face. She is also someone who embraces her own unique style and does not care what judgments other people may pass with her look. She has a very original way of transforming herself every day. In the video, she says that putting her makeup on every day takes a minimum of an hour. 

Jordan is also someone who doesn't like bright colors or pastels, preferring to rather grungy, black and "slashed" clothing that brings out her true personality. So when she was faced with the prospect of being turned into a "girl next door" with "normal" clothing, she took the opportunity to see what the result would look like. 

The description section of the video below says, "While some people took advantage of the pandemic and 2020 to reduce, if not stop, their makeup routine, for 25-year-old Jordan it was the chance to perfect her deathcore makeup look. The tattoo artist, who has extensive tattoos on her arms, chest, neck, plus seven on her face, has worn predominantly black clothes since she was a teenager." 

This is clear when viewers get a look at Jordan, whose black and white makeup on her face is jagged and uneven, which Jordan described as "dark," "alternative" and "creepy." She also wears different colored contacts in her eyes, which can look intimidating for many people. Her sister also describes Jordon's look as "very extreme" and "very dark" in the video. The only time she does not wear her extreme makeup is when she is at home. 

"I like about my look is that it's different, and I feel like I've made something at least a little unique for myself. You're not gonna go out and be like, everybody looks like that," Jordan says. She also makes it clear that she avoid clothing with colors, adding that baggy pants are not her thing. Even though skinny jeans are no longer "in" anymore, she says that she loves her "skinnies." 

Before her transformation into "the girl next door," Jordan is seen uncovering the clothes that she would be wearing for the day, and she wasn't happy. She was given baggy blue jeans and a pink-and-peach top, which is essentially clothes that are very ordinary. For Jordaan, however, this is anything but ordinary.

The first thing that the makeup artist did was to color correct all the tattoos off Jordan's hands and face. According to DermaBlend, color correction is a method of using complementary colors, which are colors that are directly opposite in the color spectrum, to cancel out the look of skin discoloration. Once Jordan's tattoos were covered, the artist used an airbrush to make the skin tone more even. "I think it's going to be super weird to see myself without tattoos," Jordan says during the video. 

She was then given a makeover to highlight her face, and no detail was forgotten as Jordan even got a fresh coat of pink nail polish on her fingers. She was also given a blond wig with waves, which is in stark contrast to her dark hair. The makeup artist was really happy with the final result, and she says in the video, "I am so happy with the finished look. I think Jordan looks amazing."

What happens when Jordan sees herself in the mirror? She is completely taken aback by the change. Her first reaction is exclaiming, "What?!" She adds, "I have no tattoos, I am an alien!" 

"It was interesting and fun to see me like this but do I like it for myself? No. It made me realise that I’m pretty happy with the way that I look, that I don’t want to change for anybody," Jordan elaborated. 

Her sister and her boyfriend's reaction was also one of shock and emotion. Watch the video below to see what made Jordan's sister cry:
