Deaf Girl Signs Entire Lewis Capaldi Hit Hoping He'll Invite Her On Stage

Lewis Capaldi has captured the world with his hit "Someone You Loved." It's a deeply emotional song about a man who's not ready yet to let go of a past relationship.

Now, one little girl wants to get up on stage with the singer and make her dream of performing with him come true.

Niamdh Braid, a ten-year-old from east Scotland, has learned to perform the song entirely in sign language. This remarkable girl was diagnosed with bilateral sensorineural deafness when she was only two.

Thankfully, her mother Sam filmed her daughter's performance. The video of Niamdh signing the song with perfect timing has now become a viral hit.

As if the video was not amazing enough by itself, it becomes doubly impressive when you realize that Niamdh essentially taught herself British Sign Language (BSL), with a little help from her mother. She had to, as there are no sign language teachers in the area where the family lives.

She used YouTube videos and practiced with her parents, who are understandably very proud of her. Niamdh has also taught her classmates to sign along with some other top hits: "The Climb" by Miley Cyrus and "True Colors" by Cyndi Lauper.

The video has become so popular that there is now an actual online campaign to get her to perform on stage with her hero. This summer, Capaldi will be performing at the Belladrum Tartan Heart music festival on August 3. Niamdh and her family have attended this festival for years.

Niamdh's mother Sam has talked to the organizers of the festival. They have also spoken to Capaldi's PR team. Now we can only hope that an amazing little girl's dream will indeed come true this summer.

Niamdh wants to inspire all deaf children in Scotland that they can do anything.

What do you think about Niamdh's performance? Are you impressed by the way she is overcoming the odds while having fun and inspiring people at the same time? Let us know in the comments and be sure to pass this article along to others.
