His hometown of Bueno Brandão stepped in to help out. Thanks to the wonderful members of the community, the repair bill was taken care of for him and his family.

His dad decided to record the very moment that Luiz was once again fitted with the hearing aid. You can see from the pictures just how anxious Luiz is to hear for the first time. His father is just as excited.

He puts the device behind Luiz’s left ear and turns it on, but it doesn’t seem to work right away.

Luiz looks worried, but his father patiently reassures him while he adjusts the device. You can see that it finally works when Luiz cannot contain his joy when his dad calls to him!

Neither one of them can contain the joy they are feeling since Luiz can now hear.

This moment is a true reminder of how lonely and frustrating it can be when you cannot hear the people you love. As Luiz jumps for joy when he hears his father you can tell how relieved he is to be able to pick up noises again.

His dad tells him that there isn’t any need to cry but you see dad crying just as hard as his son!

Luiz first thanks one of his family members and then he waves at the camera, thanking the community that helped him get his hearing aid back. This wonderful video has garnered over eight million views and is still going strong!
