Daycare Teacher Leaves A Spiteful Note In 5-Year-Old’s Lunchbox, Telling Mom To Put Child On A Diet

Parents may expect their child to be bullied by another student, but what about when it happens from the teacher?

Francesca Easdon was appalled when she picked up her 5-year-old son, Kyler, from the Rocking Horse Daycare Center in Texas and discovered that on a note she'd left in his lunchbox, the teacher had written an ignorant reply.

The note Easdon had left asked the staff to remind Kyler that his mommy loves him and is thinking about him, complete with a smiley face. The teacher scrawled in thick, black ink at the bottom, "No, put him on a diet and go away!"

In an interview with ABC7 News, Easdon said she didn't know what to do when she first read the note. She says that she just re-read it over and over again, trying to comprehend how a teacher could even think of being so hateful toward one of her students' parents.

The next morning, Easdon was in a meeting with the school's director. She brought the note and alerted them to the teacher's public Facebook profile, which contains references to drugs, alcohol, and other inappropriate content. The teacher confessed and was fired on the spot, but Easdon said that neither she nor the daycare showed genuine remorse for what happened.

"I am disgusted that I put my trust in these people to care for my child and this is what I get in return," Easdon wrote on her own Facebook post. She says that she will be putting Kyler in a new daycare, one that is more expensive but, she hopes, ultimately safer.
