It is no secret that military families sacrifice so much when their loved ones are overseas serving our country. There are so many events that are missed and hugs and laughs that are absent from every dinner table. This absence is especially noticeable during the holiday season. Children have an especially difficult time accepting the absence of their parents. It truly is the ultimate sacrifice.

Sweet little Iliana looks forward to every video chat that she gets to have with her father, Eric Morski. The army captain had been deployed to Nepal for the last six months.

Because of the time difference, the 10-year-old Iliana usually gets to chat with her father when he is eating dinner and she is beginning her day with breakfast. Sometimes she even gets a video chat before she goes to sleep at night.

As the holidays approached, Iliana believed that she would spend Christmas merely video chatting with her father. However, Morski, along with his wife Meredith, were planning a gift of epic proportions for little Iliana.

Morski came home early and snuck into the family's home in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. When Iliana said she wanted to FaceTime her father before bedtime, she had no idea that he was actually downstairs.

This touching video captures the whole moment for everyone to enjoy. As Iliana receives the call, it does not take her long to realize that her father is in her living room. She races through the house to find him, obviously overjoyed by the revelation.

The video also shows the family's little dog, Oliver, over the moon that Morski is back home where he belongs.

This heartwarming video is sure to bring a smile to your face. After you have watched this sweet surprise, be sure to spread the joy to everyone that you know.
