When toddlers push their limits, parents’ patience can understandably wear thin. Maintaining composure regardless of the situations that you are faced with as a parent is essential, and this is exactly what little Juliette’s father did when she refused to walk inside their house.

Luckily for us, the hilarious moment was caught on camera for us all to see.

A Toddler’s Defiance

According to Rumble, Juliette is a 2-year-old with a playful spirit. While she is known for making people around her laugh, her dad was not laughing when she plopped herself flat on the ground outside the family’s home and would not budge from her location.

The pair had just returned from grocery shopping, and the little girl laid on the driveway as her father unloaded the groceries from the car. He simply went about his business while she took her defiant position on the ground. However, when the car was unloaded, he was faced with a predicament. What would he do to get Juliette in the house?

A Convenient Solution

A parent’s initial impulse, when faced with a toddler’s defiance, maybe to get angry or to start taking away privileges. Ignoring her in this case was not a solution because she was outside in freezing weather. Juliette’s dad took a different and convenient approach.

He did not plead or bargain with the child. Instead, he picked her up by the front of her zippered jacket. With two shopping bags in one hand and with Juliette on the other hand, he walked inside the house.

Juliette continued to be defiant and laid limply in her jacket as she was moved inside. However, a video of the incident shows Juliette smiling as she enjoyed her free ride.

If you are like most others who have survived parenting a toddler or two, you understandably have a full range of stories that you can tell about your own children’s defiance.
