A father and husband will usually do whatever it takes to save his family from a disaster. One father rushed to try to save his wife and their 4-year-old daughter Sophia when a magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Anchorage, Alaska.

The events of the day were captured on the home security camera. The day started like any other with Tony making his morning coffee and his wife getting the kids ready for school and breakfast. It was about 8:30 in the morning and Tony was getting ready to leave for work.

While he was eating a relaxed breakfast with his daughter at the table, Tony felt a subtle shaking. He immediately knew that it was an earthquake. Tony quickly tried to get his child and his wife to a bedroom so that they could take shelter.

The house started to shake, pictures falling from the walls. Tony called for his wife. The baby was in the highchair. A few moments later, Tony rushed outside with his daughter. His wife rushed outside only seconds later.

While the family was standing in the snow, they watched their home shake uncontrollably. They hugged each other, Tony thankful that he was able to save his child while making sure his wife made it to safety as well.
