Dad Records Himself Putting Baby To Sleep Using Old Technique, Clip Spreads Across Internet

Most parents would do anything to help their babies fall asleep. Fortunately, many parents go on to share their tips and tricks with other parents through books, social media and other places on the internet. Whether you’re a new parent or you’re on your third child, it’s never too late to learn yet another way to help your baby fall asleep when it’s naptime or bedtime.

There are some pretty common methods that have been proven to work, such as taking your baby out for a drive at night to help them calm down and fall asleep or giving them some warm milk before bedtime to help ease them into dreamland. One father shared an oldie but a goodie when he uploaded a video that showed the method he uses to help his little one peacefully drift off. It was so simple that it’s almost hard to believe that this dad’s trick worked so seamlessly, but lo and behold, it did.

Using just one hand, the dad was able to sweetly and easily help his baby quickly fall asleep. He had to use the motion a few times to finally get the tiny tot to completely drift off, but each time he moved his hand, his baby grew a bit sleepier. The viral video of a father putting his baby to sleep has been passed around the internet on various platforms, amounting to more than 27 million views — and it’s easy to see why. The father’s method is proven to be extremely effective right off the bat, and anyone who comes across the video is able to see just how precious his little one is as he falls asleep.

The video starts off with the dad and his sleepy baby sitting beside a dog who appears to already be fast asleep. The baby continues to pet the dog and tries to wake up his furry friend but to no avail. Ready to help his tiny tot drift off into dreamland, too, the dad expertly begins using his fool-proof technique.

The dad softly dragged his hand across the entirety of his child’s face. Following this, the baby immediately already looked more tired. The dad continued to use the motion a few more times, with his baby getting closer to completely falling asleep each time. 

After less than a minute of using this technique, the dad managed to get his baby to go to sleep. Video viewers were shocked at how effective the method was. Even the dad himself chuckled at how easily his son drifted off. However, the little one appeared to have a tiny bit of energy left at the very end of the video, and he happily perked up for just a quick moment to give the camera a sweet smile while still looking incredibly sleepy.
