Dad Puts Newborn Down For A Nap In A Special Spot - His Guitar

Apr 10, 2019 by apost team

One new dad made a sweet gesture to lull his newborn to sleep and the moment between them has gone viral.

The dad is a singer from Carthage, Missouri. He began posting his music on a Facebook page in March so that his fans, family, and friends can enjoy his music on a regular basis.

The idea came courtesy of his wife Chandra. Cody posted a video of himself singing 'Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Star' by Merle Haggard back in March. Cody sang the song with his young baby taking a nap on his guitar.

The video has since gone viral and currently boasts over 70 million Facebook views.

Everyone, it seems loved the tender moment between the father and baby daughter. Cody lists his work as a subcontracted cowboy for a feedlot. And as evidenced by his interaction on Facebook, he is a humble cowboy. Cody responded to a number of the 77,000 comments and expressed surprise at the interest the moment with his daughter has garnered.

The moment began when Cody and Chandra struggled to put their baby girl to sleep.

"I was sitting in here picking the guitar and she asked me if I had put her to sleep and I did not really want to stop playing guitar so I just eased her up on the guitar and started playing and she just went to sleep,"  Cody told Rumble.

"I just posted it on there because I thought it was kinda cool. I did not think it would go viral as it did,"

The aspiring musician already had the Facebook page to share his music, but never thought his daughter would help him go viral.

Chandra then said:

"It's just crazy how much people love babies, and how fast it happened, all of it, I think that's just the crazy part for us is how viral it went and how quickly it all happened,"
