Dad Invents Smartphone App That Makes Kids Reply Directly

Without a doubt, technology is changing fast. Many things are being invented that make things easy. One dad recently invented an app that is going to change how kids respond to texts and/or calls. This is what parents have been waiting for.

The kids of today are always glued to their cell phones, but they are unwilling to answer them. Nick Herbert, a man residing in West Wickham, came up with the idea of this app that makes kids immediately respond to calls or texts from their parents. This app, ReplyASAP, is a clever one.

Once a parent texts or calls, the app takes over by keeping the text on the screen while making a lot of noise. This noise only stops when the recipient reacts to it. What's more, a phone on silent cannot stop this app from working as it is made to work.

ReplyASAP launched in 2017. Since then, it has been installed over 75,000 times with a 3.1 out of 5 stars rating. So far, the app has been very popular on Android, but Nick wants to release an iOS version. He has a website on which he explains the motivation behind launching the app. He says he was very frustrated with the current apps for messaging.

He says that he bought his son, Ben, a smartphone when he started high school so they would communicate easily. On the smartphone, he can watch videos and play games on it. Ben had to keep his phone on silent mode so that his dad wouldn't know what he was doing.

As such, he would rarely respond to his dad's calls or messages, probably because he wasn't comfortable speaking to his dad while his friends were with him or because he couldn't hear his phone. This happened even when Nick had an important message to get to him.

Some apps notify you when a text is delivered and read. However, the point of sending a message is to make sure that the recipient receives it and does what it says. But, what if the recipient ignores it or doesn't hear it? Nick discovered a way to avoid all these issues with his ReplyASAP app. The only time this app doesn't work is when your phone is off. This means that the only way to communicate with each other is the old fashioned way.

Do you think this is the way technology should be heading? If you know anyone who could benefit from it, kindly forward this article to them. Help a parent worry less about their kids by enhancing communication with this app. Don't forget to tell us your thoughts in the comment section!
