Dad Gets A Fridge Safe To Stop His Fiancée And Kids From Stealing His Chocolate

Sharing a home or even an apartment with other people can make things difficult when it comes to food.

This is especially true when it is family or friends staying with you. It is often hard to make sure that everything you own stays yours. While you may set boundaries as often as possible, someone who is cheeky enough to break them can cause your supplies to diminish.

Dave Williams is a man who wanted to ensure that his food stayed safe. More importantly, he was eager to lock up his chocolate to make sure that no one else in the house could get to them. After all, he didn’t want to be responsible for anyone else who didn’t have the self-control to keep their hands to themselves.

Dave decided that the best way to keep his food safe was to buy a fridge safe. That’s right- you can actually buy a little safe for your refrigerator that needs a three-digit code to open up the combination lock. Dave is determined to keep that code a secret for as long as possible!

According to the NY Post, Stacey Lowe, his fiancée, wasn’t too happy about the move.

“So this is what it has come too [sic],” she wrote. “You buy a house together, have a child together, get engaged, are planning a wedding and doing your house up and this happens!”

The post has gone viral on Facebook. Over 200,000 people have either liked, shared, or commented on the post. Many people are even tagging their own partners to show them just what could be done to keep food safe in the house.

However, others took Stacey’s side, saying it was a selfish move. Countless men and women said that they would “burn their home down” or “smash the safe wide open” if their own partner did what Dave dared to do. Some have even suggested taking the box out of the refrigerator altogether and letting it sit out in a warm spot in order to melt the chocolate inside.

We are certainly hoping that their Facebook fame has helped the couple get over their little feud! We are also wondering just how good the chocolate must be for Dave to be guarding it so closely!
