If you’re a parent, you know how hard it can be to keep your kids happy, entertained and occupied while you try to accomplish other everyday tasks. If you have more than one child, the process becomes even more impossible. It’s actually so difficult to keep children busy that many parents have come up with their own creative methods in order to make their kids happy while keeping their brains sharp and learning!

Sometimes, store-bought toys just don’t do the trick. You’ll have to be a little more creative if you want to keep your child busy with things that you have lying around the house. One inventive dad took inspiration from household objects when he made the most epic ‘busy board’ for his child to play with!

If you’ve ever witnessed a child in their natural habitat, you know that they love playing with ordinary things that you’d find around the home. These may include latches, doorknobs, magnets or cords that they stumble across. So how can we turn these everyday objects into something that’ll help our children grow into smart and fully developed adults?

One father went viral with his unique idea after he uploaded it to an image hosting website called Imgur, where the picture has been viewed over 136,000 times! The picture currently has over 500 comments from other parents and viewers that believe his idea is amazing.

So how do you make your own? This project is budget-friendly, since you may use objects that you already have in your home that haven't been used in a while. On your own personal board, there are an array of items that you could attach.

Sliding bolts used on doors, casters, and latches can all be used to help children understand how everyday objects work. A ringing bell may be annoying to the ears, but it will help kids develop fine motor skills. Door stoppers are another object that can be placed on the board and they’re often a hit with children.

Hook and eye hardware latches can also be used to keep children busy latching and unlatching for hours! Carabiners, chains, eye hooks, and magnetic letters will add to the fun and keep your kids busy for days. You can find easy DIY videos that will help you in building your own board! Find one below:
