Dachshund Works At Pet Store As ‘Chief Meeter And Greeter’

Frankie the Dachshund works as a greeter at the same pet store where his human owner, Judy Laine, works in Broadmeadows, Nottingham. Thanks to someone's quick thinking, a spectator captured a video of Frankie working at his new job as chief meeter and greeter.

When it comes to hard workers, this sweet pooch is the cream of the crop. Dogs are man's best friends and loyal companions. They work as protectors, aim to please, and give us wonderful company. The same could be said for those who end up with outside employment.

Frankie is a Dachshund who started working as a meeter and greeter at his local pet store at only nine weeks old. As DogHeirs reports, 42-year-old owner, Judy Laine, was already an employee at the pet store in Broadmeadows, Nottingham, and decided to bring him in.

She vouched for him as being a part of the team, and everyone's happy she did because he's the best meeter and greeter they could have. It was also much better to have him around than to leave him at home because he hates being alone. As far as his breed goes, Dachsunds are very popular. What they lack in size, they make up in personality. They're people-oriented, intelligent, quick learners, and curious.

They're also loyal, stubborn, courageous, lively, and even mischievous. Frankie truly fits that personality to a T. He's still hard at work even now, where he's reached one year of age. The canine takes his job very seriously. He's never missed a day of work, coming in with his owner for early day shifts and getting full run of the shop when it's closed.

In the meantime, he greets customers and co-workers and checks out the daily operations in the store. He even has his own custom-made uniform and a cozy bed under Judy's till to serve as his breakroom, according to DogHeirs. Such a role doesn't get much more official than that. What a lucky dog! While Judy's cleaning out the pet cages, Frankie goes exploring, plays chase with co-workers, and nabs fallen biscuits from under the pick and mix biscuit bar.

Deliveries are one of his favorite times since he gets to run off with the cardboard boxes, as DogHeirs reports. He's truly living the dog life. In fact, his doggie antics are gaining fame on social media. His silly playfulness keeps up workplace morale, giving great content for his co-workers' social media accounts. He even has his own hashtag, which is #PAHFrankie.

Frankie's dog days might soon be giving him a promotion as a product tester to "review" the store's products. There's nobody better for that position. After all, if Frankie likes something, chances are other dogs will too. He's always up for learning new things, which is a sign of an excellent employee. Frankie's co-workers agree that four-legged colleagues are important for keeping spirits high.

With co-workers like him, who would want to work anywhere else? Dog lovers would definitely enjoy having dogs as company at the workplace. Cats get first dibs at the vet, dental office, library, and more. It's about time more dogs get to hang out with their favorite humans, especially breeds like Dachshunds, who can be needy.
