Critic Slams ‘James Bond’ Actor Daniel Craig’s Manhood for Caring for His Daughter in Public

Although Daniel Craig has starred in numerous movies throughout his career, his most well-known role is, of course, playing special agent James Bond. Since the movies began filming in the ‘60s, the actors playing the role of 007 have gone on to achieve great fame and acclaim. Before Craig, Pierce Brosnan held the role of Bond. It is a prestigious role indeed, and Craig has done the role great justice as well.
Craig's last Bond movie, "No Time To Die," was released on Oct. 8, 2021. This was his fifth and final Bond movie. While filming the movie, according to Craig, there was a lot of chaos, including the first director, Danny Boyle, quitting, Craig getting injured, and an explosion on the set, among other challenges. Even though he has been in many other films, Craig will always be remembered as one of the great actors who brought his own interpretation to the role of Bond.
The actor has always led a relatively private life, and unlike other A-list celebrities, he does not enjoy being in the spotlight after he finishes filming. Some may not be aware that Craig is married to the actress Rachel Weisz. The couple has rarely, if ever, spoken about their daughter, and Craig has also not publicly spoken about his daughter, Ella, whom he shares with his ex-partner, Fiona Loudon.
Both Craig and Weisz have kept their romance and marriage under wraps for quite a long time. However, at times when Craig was perceived as a normal father, he seemed to receive negative attention because of it. One notable personality even insulted him after he was seen taking care of his daughter publicly. Read on to learn more.

With so many setbacks on the set of “No Time to Die,” Craig had actually wondered if the movie would even be completed. However, as he finally finished filming and took his final bow as James Bond, he certainly felt emotional about leaving this chapter of his life behind. When he had to make a speech after his final scene, Craig recalled:
"I had a whole thing kind of put together in my head that I wanted to say. I couldn’t get it out."
Not much is known about Craig's private life, and according to Hello! Magazine, Craig stated that privacy was "hugely important" to him and his wife. However, he did mention his kids in an August 2021 interview. Craig said that he would not be leaving behind his hefty $170 million fortune to his children. The actor believes it would be "distasteful" for his children to inherit his money after he passes, and he added that he would either 'get rid of it' or give it all away before his time comes.
NME reported that in an interview with Candis Magazine, Craig asked the interviewer: "Isn’t there an old adage that if you die a rich person, you’ve failed?" He continued: "I think Andrew Carnegie gave away what in today’s money would be about 11 billion dollars, which shows how rich he was because I’ll bet he kept some of it, too." Craig then elaborated on his point:
"I don’t want to leave great sums to the next generation. I think inheritance is quite distasteful. My philosophy is get rid of it or give it away before you go.”

Weisz is an accomplished British actress best known for her appearances in “The Mummy” franchise, “About a Boy,” and “The Favourite.” She has received many awards and accolades for her talent as an actress. Weisz is the recipient of an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Laurence Olivier Award. Despite being very private people, Weisz and Craig have spoken about one another in interviews. Weisz shared why she prefers to keep their relationship out of the tabloids. She told E! Online:
"He's just too famous. It would be a betrayal. You have to protect your marriage. When you're young, you tell your girlfriends everything. One of the great pleasures of not being an adolescent is that you don't have to share everything. When you're married, that door closes. The audience goes, and you're in your own life."
Weisz has also mentioned that marriage was not a goal for her when she was younger. According to PEOPLE, Weisz said:
"I never thought I would get married," adding, "It was not an ambition of mine. It was the opposite. I couldn’t relate to romantic comedies — marriage seems to be the whole point of them. Then it just happened, happily, at a more mature moment."
For his part, Craig told GQ about his secret wedding:
“We did it privately. And I’ve got a lot of people to thank for that. But that was the point. We did it for private reasons.”
He added later in the interview:
“Look. I'm in love. I'm very happy. And that is as far as I'm prepared to go. Life is long, life goes wrong and I don't want to say something now that might be thrown back later.”

Unbeknownst to many, Craig has a daughter named Ella Loudon, born in 1992, from his first wife, Fiona. Ella was Craig’s date on the premiere night of “No Time To Die” in 2021. She is an actress who has appeared in several live theatre productions. She also starred in “Maneater” and “Trauma is a Time Machine,” among other projects. Almost two decades after splitting up with Loudon, Craig tied the knot with Weisz in 2011. It was only in 2018 that they had their first daughter, Grace. Craig was the subject of “Good Morning Britain” host Piers Morgan’s questionable antics when he criticized the “Bond” actor for being emasculated because he was spotted wearing a baby carrier publicly in 2018. Morgan wrote on X:
“Oh 007.. not you as well?!!! #papoose #emasculatedBond.”
Many were irked with Morgan’s insults, and some decided to hit back at him. A fan defended on social media:
“There is nothing more masculine than a Father taking an active role in nurturing and looking after his child. About time more in the media celebrated this, I mean aren't you right-wing oddballs always bleating on about lack of family values?”
“Real men care for their offspring. Emasculated? Far from it,” another commented. "My husband has never looked hotter than when he was baby-wearing. It's called parenting, Piers,” a fan attested. Chris Evans, who worked with Craig on “Knives Out,” defended his co-star’s honor by responding to Morgan in a now-deleted statement, as quoted by BBC:
“You really have to be so uncertain of your own masculinity to concern yourself with how another man carries his child. Any man who wastes time quantifying masculinity is terrified on the inside.”
