Even though it took a bit of negotiating—and even a bit of bribery—Courteney Cox coaxed her 15-year-old daughter Coco into singing Demi Lovato’s “Anyone.” Cox, who accompanied her daughter on piano, admitted that she let her daughter go to a party in exchange for the performance, which she posted on Instagram.

“When you have a teenager you barely get to see them,” the Friends star wrote on Instagram. With more than 4 million views, the video hasn’t only drawn the attention of Cox fans, but also from fellow celebrities.

The Oscar award-winning actress Kate Hudson, known for her role in Almost Famous, commented, “Oh honey, her voice 🙏🏻💫.” Other celebrities from Laura Dern to Charlize Theron also shared their praise in the comments.

Despite what might have been her initial reluctance to perform with her mother, this isn’t the first time the mother-daughter duo have gone viral. Cox also posted a video of another duet—but instead of playing the piano and singing, Coco and her mother tried their hand at a short dance.

Cox captioned the video writing, “Wanna see your child lose their patience? Do a TikTok with them. #familyaerobics.”

Coco clearly isn’t a stranger to this sort of performance. According to Today, even before she was a teenager she starred in a Foy Vance video directed by Cox herself. And at the fifth annual Chords2Cure concert, Coco joined Snow Patrol for an on-stage duet.

So whether it’s singing or dancing, one thing is clear for Cox and her daughter: a talent for performance runs in the family.
