Accidents happen. We've been taught this since a young age, and it remains true as we grow into adulthood.

However, some accidents have more dire consequences than others. Some mistakes may change us for the better, and some may alter our lives for the worse.

For one little girl, an accident resulted in unfortunate circumstances. The five-year-old lives in Indianapolis, Indiana and had a terrifying burn accident where over seventy per cent of her body suffered burns after getting ahold of a Zippo lighter.

After finding the lighter, the young girl set herself on fire in a tragic accident. But thanks to the help of one inspirational Disney movie, Frozen, she is working on recovering from the horrific disaster.

The little girl’s name is Lillie, and after her accident, she was immediately brought into the hospital. Everyone was mortified to see what had happened to the young girl. Her mother and father, Amanda and Brian, were unsure if she would even survive the trauma of the accident and were heartbroken that this could have happened to their beloved daughter.

The doctors immediately placed Lillie into a coma that they medically induced in order to treat the girl’s wounds.

She underwent eight separate surgeries in order to treat her injuries, and will soon return home to recover in a more comfortable place.

Lillie’s mom Amanda told Cater News that she had no idea that her little girl had gotten ahold of the Zippo lighter. The little girl had tried to light a toothpick on fire with the lighter but accidentally caught her clothes in flames instead, erupting her entire body and engulfing her in the fire.

Although her uncle had to put the fire on her body out, it was too late and the damage had been done.

Her recovery is not over yet, and she still has a long road ahead of her; however, she’s been using the Disney movie Frozen as a tool to help her remain positive and happy during the process.

She loves singing the hit song “Let It Go” that was featured in the film whenever she’s feeling down. We hope that Lillie makes a full recovery and lives a happy and healthy life after this traumatic accident.
