When a couple was informed that their missing dog was found 250 miles away from their Houston home, blind, and toothless, they were heartbroken but happy the search for the dog was over.

The story as reported by ABC 13 began when Aaron Webster came home with a cute little Yorkshire Terrier Mix puppy. He was excited about the little dog because he was going to give it to his wife as a gift, and he knew his spouse would be delighted to receive it.

Unfortunately, all that happiness turned to sorrow when their pup Remi disappeared from the back of the house.

The couple searched high and low for the puppy for a year. After that, they decided to accept the fact that their little dog was gone forever. They didn’t know what had happened to Remi, but they suspected that he may have been picked up and taken away by a hawk.

It was 14 years after Remi’s disappearance that the canine was seen by someone in Fort Worth, Texas. Animal control was notified, and the dog was transported to McKenzie Smith of Saving Hope Animal Rescue Organization.

While the canine was there, a microchip that connected Remi with Aaron was found, and Remi’s owner was contacted. Remi’s owners found it hard to believe their dog was able to make it on its own.

The couple’s dog is doing well now. His owners give him plenty of love and attention, and they want him to live his senior years in comfort.

Now that you’ve read the unbelievable story about Remi, why not watch the news broadcast about him above and inform others about it.
