An ordinary trip to the mall turned into a harrowing affair when a family in Oregon took their newborn daughter out on what was supposed to be a special outing.

Kaylob and Jessie were looking forward to taking their newborn baby out to the mall for the first time. One-week-old Audrey was set to have her first professional photos taken with her parents at the local JCPenney.

As the family was leaving the store, Audrey's parents were terrified to notice that their daughter had suddenly stopped breathing.

Kaylob and Jessie began screaming for somebody to help them as they tried to perform CPR on their daughter in the foyer of the store. Jessie called 911 and the operator gave her step by step instructions on how to perform CPR until the authorities arrived.

A passerby also stopped to try to help the frantic couple trying to breathe life back into their lifeless little girl.

Deputy Jonathan Zacharkiw was the first authority to arrive at the scene. He later said that he had thought that Audrey had already passed away, ranking the moment as the most terrible thing he had ever seen on the job. He began to desperately perform chest compressions until rescue crews from the local fire department came to take over the resuscitation efforts.

The poor parents collapsed to the floor and began praying for their precious baby to be brought back to life. Thankfully, Audrey began breathing again and this story has a happy ending. All of this was captured on the mall's security camera and now you can check out the terrifying incident for yourself.
