Couple Wows Guests By Secretly Turning Baby's Christening Into Surprise Wedding

One happy couple pulled off the surprise of a lifetime after they turned an already joyous day into an even more memorable occasion: unbeknownst to all their guests, they had planned a secret wedding that would take place immediately after the christening of their daughter.

The newlyweds were Laura Djamalis and Danny Roberts. These two sure know how to have a surprise up their sleeves!

With 70 guests in tow, they had all gathered at a church in Heywood, Rochdale, to baptize their seven-month-old daughter named Winter. But as the guests arrived for the christening party, they had no idea they’d also be attending a wedding!

Immediately following the beautiful and meaningful service for their daughter, Laura took a moment to step out of the building. She then put on a veil and re-entered the room to the song “Here Comes The Bride!” Thankfully, the entire moment was recorded, and now the happy couple is sharing their special event with others who are falling in love with the surprise romantic moment.

Guests who witnessed the wedding were cheering, clapping, and welting up with tears as the beautiful bride headed down the aisle with her father Mike at her side. Everyone was in shock that Laura and Danny pulled off such a unique surprise. But who would have guessed that the bride and groom had only six weeks to plan their wedding? Laura and Danny had been engaged for two years but came up with their wedding plan just a month and a half before the ceremony.

The only people that were in on the surprise were Laura’s sister and parents, as well as Danny’s uncle. Laura later admitted that it was difficult to keep the secret but she knew that the surprise would be worth it in the end if they pulled it off correctly.

When it was time for the wedding party to enter the church, the Father officiating the ceremony announced that it was time for something else to be shared with the loved ones of Laura and Danny. But nobody could have guessed that it was an impromptu wedding! Thankfully, everyone was excited for the newlyweds, and the wedding went off without a hitch!

"My sister and Winter walked in front of us, and then as soon as I walked in behind them everyone cheered. Everyone was crying - they were like 'I had no idea'," the happy bride told The Manchester Evening News.
