That devasting morning was the last day Josh and Katie could set eyes on their son. According to Katie, it was supposed to be a routine clinical surgery. Fear started crippling in when the doctors kept silent for a long time. Katie started worrying. After their son was announced dead, Josh broke down into tears. Katie was confused and appalled. Josh and Katie kept praying to God to help them in their grieving moment.

A blessing knocked at their door during the celebration of baby Dewey’s life. The family received an unanticipated call from a nurse at NICU whom they had interacted with in the hospital.

A baby in the 5th floor of the hospital needed a mom and dad. Brax, a baby boy, had a couple of health issues. The boy had been abandoned by his family, who decided they could no longer take care of him. Their journey of grief was marked by light at the end of the tunnel.

Finally, Dewey's parents met Brax in the NICU and fell in love with him. He was eleven months old and had spent all his life in the hospital. He had chronic respiratory failure, pulmonary hypertension, tracheomalacia, and used a trach-vent to breathe. Luckily, his condition could improve with age.

Katie and Josh gave Brax a reason to smile by taking him home and later adopting him on September 2017. This is a life touching story that can help many people in the condition that Katie and Josh were in. What do you think about the story?
