Couple Who Met On A Dating App Had Their 4th Date At The Hospital As The Woman Went Into Labor

They say the best form of love comes when you are either not looking or when you least expect it. However, when it does come, it is wholesome, sweet and everything you have ever envisioned and more. TikTok user Alyssa_Jane01 could relate to this in many ways thanks to the love and compassion she found in her Tinder date match, who stood by her when many could have developed cold feet. 

After going through the life-changing experience, Alyssa chronicled her love story on social media, letting internet users know that there’s still a lot of good left in the world. In a TikTok clip posted in 2022, she told the story of how she and her Tinder date ended up having the most unlikely fourth date. She relayed that she and Max had only been together for eight weeks when the trajectory of their early Tinder dating changed.

She noted that within those weeks, they only went on three or four dates, but the fourth date ended with Max coming with her to the hospital as she went into labor. She exclaimed, “So the fourth date with him coming to my labor, and birth and delivery like what?!” She relayed that he still stuck around, and that was the main thing. Alyssa recalled the fateful day, noting how she was supposed to pick him up at the airport but ended up texting to say her water broke and she was on her way to the hospital. She relayed: 

“So once he landed, he got a taxi to his place, unpacked, and then he said, ‘I’m going to come and see you.’ And I was a little bit nervous because I was by myself, and I was also worried that, okay, yes, I want him as a support person, but what if we end up breaking up in a week’s time.”

Alyssa, who had her baby in her arms as she shared her story, relayed that she was worried that they had only gone out a few times and his family didn't even know about her. However, against all odds, Max showed up and ended up being her “biggest support.” She noted that her mom was there when she was induced but left for a pre-planned holiday the day after she'd given birth.

Alyssa talked about being alone and having no idea how to take care of her child at 19, but Max stayed with her. She noted that after she had her son, Ollie, he had to be in the NICU, but Max stayed with them both because the doctors thought he was the dad, and he just went with it. Per 7News, Alyssa explained that Max even took a week off work to help her. She gushed about him: 

“We both knew that we liked each other and had strong feelings for each other. But the birth was the peaking point of our relationship, it bonded us. Looking back, I know it was the best decision ever. I’m so glad that he was there.”

She recalled having “baby blues” a week into motherhood, but Max stepped in and helped her succeed as a new mom. On Instagram, Alyssa chronicled their rare love story, which included photos of Max and little Oliie enjoying family time with her. 

Many TikTok users could not get enough of the heartwarming story as they showed admiration. One user mentioned: “THAT is what you call a Dad! 🥹 love this story so much!” Another reflected: “To put so much trust and support in one early on into a relationship is great. Especially during labour is incredible. He’s a keeper x.” More TikTokers chimed in as they agreed that Max was indeed a keeper.
