One couple was shocked when their daughter, Freya, began walking at only six months of age. Grace and Ryan Minter, both 29, were completely taken off guard when little Freya skipped crawling and went straight to walking.

According to the Baby Center, most children take their first steps between 9 and 12 months old, they do not master walking on their own until they are between 14 and 17 months. It is important to keep in mind that these ranges are merely averages.

The family from Essex, England was not expecting Freya to begin walking so soon. "Freya was able to stand up whilst holding on to our fingers for balance, by the time she was four-months-old," explained Grace to the Daily Mail. "We could tell she was desperate to walk from then but it wasn't until she was six-months-old that it actually happened."

Grace said that because Freya is her first child, she did not know any differently. "It was only when I spoke to friends and brought her to baby groups, I realized that she is so advanced." She said that Freya has always been strong and determined for her age. The sweet infant rolled over at just 10-weeks-old.

"People have been amazed by her walking at playgroup and they love how her face is either one of sheer determination or a great big smile," Grace said to the publication. "Who knows what she'll do next? Freya is now seven months and we have no doubt that she'll continue to keep smashing her milestones."
