Couple Married For Nearly 70 Years Wear Matching Outfits Daily

The secret to a long marriage might not be the expected piece of advice.

Contrary to popular belief, the “honeymoon” phase of your marriage can last forever. After 68 years of wedded bliss, Rosemary and Francis Klontz share their secret, and it is not in the traditional list of recommendations for a new bride and groom.

The secret? Matching outfits. Francis first saw Rosemary in the ninth grade, and it was love at first sight, as reported in The Daily Mail.

According to his interview with Inside Edition, Francis thought, “Oh, what a cute little gal” when he saw Rosemary that first time. Things were different for Rosemary, however, as she mostly remembers that Francis' clothing choices were "questionable."

But, with time, Francis won her over, and she began to help him with his clothing choices. At first, she merely asked her mom to buy a shirt she had picked out for Francis. Eventually, one shirt turned into a blissful marriage of coordinated outfits.

For more than six decades, they have matched every day. And it isn’t just them. Their grandson Jonathan now matches with his fiancée, Kassy.

Jonathan admits that he was quick to tease his grandparents’ for their constant coordination. Today, Jonathan works with Kassy at the company they founded called Baezies, which sells customizable matching apparel for couples.

"On our first date, he told me that his grandparents had matched since the day they started dating, and I looked at him and said, 'Can we do that?' and he said yes," Kassy recalls.
