Harry Rink and his wife Doris certainly have an appreciation for American history.

The 88-year-old man and his 75-year-old wife are proud owners of the oldest log cabin in the country. Located in Greenwich Township, New Jersey, the Nothnagle Log House was built in 1640.

The couple purchased the historic home in 1968 and are now looking to sell the 375-year-old home.

Although the cabin has been on the market since June 2016, they have yet to find the perfect buyer. The couple loves the home so much that they want to sell it to somebody but then continue to live in it.

The Rinks have a dream to continue to host tours of their beloved cabin while not having to keep up with the day to day management of the property.

Originally constructed with oak logs measuring 16-by-22-feet, the cozy cabin was expanded in 1730 and then again in 1900.

The property is located just over one mile away from the site of the Revolutionary War’s famous Fort Billings.

Currently, the Rinks live in one of the additions and give free tours to people looking to understand the history of the cabin.

The home is for sale for $2.9 million, however, some experts believe that it is worth more when the antiques and artifacts of the cabin are factored into the value. The cabin comes complete with a bevy of 17th and 18th-century furniture.
