Have you ever had a wish come true? Well, a couple from Pennsylvania got their wish — albeit not as they had expected. A couple in Pennsylvania had one wish: to have many children. They started with adoption in 2017, but they also wanted biological children. However, they did not anticipate getting quadruplets.

Maxine Young, married to Jake, already had a big family. They already had four adopted children and one biological child before Maxine got pregnant. Maxine’s pregnancy was a surprise for the family, however, as it would increase the size of the family massively within a short period. They have Henry, their 23-month-old biological son, 3-year-old Elliott, 4-year old Connor, 5-year-old Parker, and 8-year-old Aiden — and the family would get four new members in July of 2020 to make it nine children!

It was quite a surprise for Maxine and her husband to discover she was pregnant again, People reports. What shocked them even more was that she was carrying quadruplets. Not even in her wildest dream had she thought she would have quadruplets. It was quite a surprise.

Despite the earlier shock, Maxine was full of joy when she delivered her adorable babies. She was elated and could not hide her joy and excitement, sharing the good news on Instagram. After a 32-week pregnancy, she delivered on July 31st, 2020. The four little babies had to spend some time in the Neonatal ICU for close monitoring. They were, however, in stable condition.

The Growing Family

Although Maxine and Jake wanted a big family, they were not ready to suddenly have nine children under their care, they told People. The quadruplets were their biggest surprise, and the job of parenting nine kids would be quite overwhelming. However, the couple took it in stride.

Growing up, Maxine always knew what she wanted when it came to children, as People reports. She already knew she would love to adopt children. She even researched about foster care and the children in need of good homes.

Sharing your passion with your partner fosters great understanding. It allows them to support you freely. When Jake and Maxine first met, she shared her desire to adopt and foster kids. He was supportive and joined her for foster care classes, from which they earned their approval in 2017.

Initially, Maxine and Jake intended to take two children under their care. However, they were requested to foster three other kids, and Maxine accepted to take all the three into her care. They made applications for adoption months later when the biological parents of the children started skipping scheduled visits.

Earlier Pregnancy Struggles

Despite their generous actions, Maxine and Jake needed help to raise their five children. Jake’s mother, ArLette, started a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to help the couple raise the growing family.

She detailed the couple’s journey to have such a big family. Prior to conceiving Henry, Maxine had had several chemical pregnancies, miscarriages, IVF, and an IUI. Given that information, we know her pregnancy was such a blessing!

The couple’s story is such a heart-warming one. Despite their earlier struggles, the couple got a miracle that changed their family from zero to nine children in just three years. It is such an inspiring story that needs to spread to encourage and inspire other people across the world. And after you've passed this incredible story on, let us know what you think!
