It's a fact of life that just about everybody loves Queen. Both fans and musicians alike have a lot of love for the legendary band. Their most famous song, "Bohemian Rhapsody." has been covered by just about everyone at least once, usually in a way very close to how it was originally recorded.

It's easy to see why people gravitate towards "Bohemian Rhapsody" in particular, thanks to its blend of rock and mock-opera and its layers of differing vocals. While this is usually the format it is covered in, country queen Jennifer Nettles decided she was going to do something different with her homage.

Strangely there haven't been too many tributes to the song from the country world, despite the fact that its lyrics sound as though they could easily be delivered in a southern twang. Thankfully Jennifer took it upon herself to prove our point to the surprise of fans of basically every music genre.

Her performance -- which was aired on CMT's Next Women of Country Tour -- begins with silence. There are lighting effects made to evoke the same moody ambiance from the classic music video, but this is where the similarities with the original incarnation of the song ends.

From the silence comes a faint whisper counting down to one before Jennifer begins to sing: "This is the real life." The crowd realizes what's happening and starts to go nuts. They know that they're witnessing something special.

The performance begins on a slower note, but this is just a distraction. Before the song begins to crawl at a snail's pace, Jennifer then shifts gears and begins to deliver an electrified country channeling of the late, great Freddie Mercury, belting out the lyrics and pumping her fists like the famous singer and looking good doing it.

It's not just Jennifer that gets into it - her band members also have fun strumming their guitars to the rhythm, and one backup singer delivers a beautiful, twangy re-imagining of the mock-opera lyrics. Despite all of this, Jennifer is still the star of the show throughout.
