After his mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, one country music singer decided to write her a tribute song. He invited his mother on stage, recorded the result, and posted it on Facebook to spread awareness about the deteriorating disease.

Jay Allen, the singer, credited God for his singing voice and ability to make songs. He explained that he merely wanted to use his gift to help his mother. He believes his video going viral is proof that everyone has some ability to turn bad into good.

It happened on July 27.

Jay Allen, from Nashville, was performing at the Dubuque County Fair. That's when he invited his mother, Sherry Rich, up onto the stage to join him for his next song - "Black Stares." He used his music to make his mother smile despite her recent diagnosis.

Allen explained that he made the song for his mother who suffers from Alzheimer's disease. She is only 54 years old. Jay Allen said the disease has approached its final staging, explaining that she doesn't have long to live.

He is hoping that his song becomes popular enough to raise awareness for the disease, praying that he can help end the horrible disease forever. Allen is donating all the profits from the song to Abe's Garden, a care center for diseases affecting the memory.

One woman who was present at the concert did us all a favor by recording the heartwarming performance. She posted it to her Facebook page the following Friday. The video has around 1,000,000 views.
