Corgi-Lover Given New Puppy After Receiving Themed Gifts

Have you or someone you know always wanted something so badly and not gotten it? It could be a car, a toy, or a special pet. Regardless, there's nothing more inspiring than the moment that they actually get that special thing. It may take a lifetime but it's all worth it once it happens.

One young man named Gilbert Brignoni, from Kansas, had wanted a corgi dog since he was a little boy, reports InspireMore. He had asked throughout his life and always dreamed of owning a corgi. Corgis are best known for their short, stout legs and friendly, playful demeanor. According to the American Kennel Club, they are strong willed-dogs and can be stubborn and protective of their owners. They are part of the herding dog breed family. Purebred corgis can be hard to locate and can be very expensive. They also require grooming and consistent veterinary care.

Gilbert was completely aware of all of these things, yet he had dreamed of owning a corgi all of his life. His family decided to finally surprise him one Christmas, but decided to 'tease' him a little bit first just to make the occasion more memorable.

A video showing Gilbert when he arrived home and got his special gift is on YouTube and has gone viral. It's such a magical moment when an occasion like that, unchoreographed, real-life joy, is captured on camera.

Gilbert had just returned home from a normal day at work and did not expect what was about to happen. It was actually before Christmas so he just expected that it would be a normal evening at home. But his evening took an unexpected turn.

Having lived with the dream of a corgi for so long, he probably had just resolved himself to the fact that he would probably never own one. When he returned home and his family handed him a box, he was confused and not really sure why he was opening an early Christmas gift. He sat down and started to open the box. Still unsure of what he had done to merit an early gift, he looked in the box to see several corgi-themed items.

One was a coffee mug which read "Corgi Dad". Another was a pair of pyjama pants with pictures of corgis all over. Two more were a corgi themed phone case and car decal. He was very grateful, but still unsure of what was going on.

His family was still surrounding him and began to laugh as he opened his gifts, clearly confused. He tried to appear thankful, but there was probably a bit of disappointment on his face that couldn't be helped as he still dreamed of owning the real thing.

And then came the next box which was laid on his lap. It was bigger, and it was moving! He opened the box quickly, and when he saw the corgi puppy, screamed "Holy Crap!" He hugged the puppy and then read the scarf on the dog's neck which read, "I'm Cooper! Will you be my dad?"
