Depending on the day, police officers can have a pretty difficult job. They are sometimes forced to encounter dangerous situations while encouraging others to obey the law, and sometimes even put their lives on the line. Fortunately, not every day is as tough and challenging as their worst days, allowing some cops to even have a bit of fun during their grueling shifts.
For one police officer, he decided to make his trips of driving people under arrest to the police station a little more enjoyable for himself. The officer calls himself Mike the Cop and has a YouTube channel where he shares content that helps educate others about law enforcement and culture. However, his channel is also known for being extremely entertaining, especially because of Mike’s hilarious personality.
When it’s time to work, most cops take their jobs seriously and can sometimes appear stoic and tough. However, Mike decided that he wanted to show another side of his personality. While the ride to the station might be stressful for those under arrest, Mike appeared to have a blast as he found a way to have some lighthearted fun while still carrying out his responsibilities as an officer. Pulling out all of the stops, the cop decided to perform a spot-on impression of a pilot for multiple passengers.
A video from January 2018 contains a compilation of clips that show off Mike’s pilot impression that he put on for a handful of people sitting in the backseat of his cop car, and has continued to receive plenty of love from people all over the world.

Enjoying The Journey
A typical day for a police officer can range in the degree of dangerousness and unpredictability. Fortunately for Mike the Cop, he seems to have found a simple way to have a little fun on the job. In January 2018, Mike uploaded a video to YouTube showing a compilation of his impressive impression of a pilot. He captioned the video, “What if cops talked to people in the backs of their cars like a pilot does the passengers in planes? I call this the ‘cop captain’ and put a few I’ve done together in this compilation. ENJOY!”
The video has since gone on to receive more than 3.7 million views and plenty of positive comments – and it’s not hard to see why. In the video, Mike used his radio to speak with whoever was sitting in the backseat, using his microphone to slightly alter his voice to the typical distorted sound you would hear from a pilot on a plane.
Although the other people didn’t look too amused with Mike’s impression, the cop didn’t let up with his comedy routine. Mike told one passenger, “This is your cop captain speaking. Hope you’re settling in OK and enjoying a reduced amount of legroom compared to your normal modes of travel.” He told another person, “Visibility is clear today. In fact, if you look out the left side, you’ll see your car being towed away.”
While Mike seems to enjoy his job now, it’s safe to say that this cop could have a potential new career as a pilot if he ever wanted to – or at least as someone who makes announcements on airplanes or at airports.
