Chris Noth Starred As Mr. Big In ‘Sex And The City’ — The Way He Looks Today At 66

The show "Sex and the City" was a landmark moment for female characters on television. Following the lives of four friends in Manhattan, New York, the HBO show broke new ground in the way that it depicted women in their thirties looking for love, but who weren't afraid of having a fun time while they did it.
The show propelled its four lead actresses to the top of Hollywood's A-list and after six seasons and two movies, it bid farewell to its beloved characters — Carrie Bradshaw, Samantha Jones, Miranda, Hobbes and Charlotte York.
But almost as important as the women in the show were the men, especially Carrie's on-off again boyfriend Mr. Big. Equally loathed and lusted after, whichever camp you were on, there was no denying that the actor who portrayed Mr. Big, Chris Noth, was perfectly cast and played the role to perfection. He also happened to be incredibly handsome.
Now that the show's new installment, "And Just Like That...," is getting ready to arrive on our screens, there's been a newfound excitement for the series once again. And with the focus now on the women's lives in their 50s, the show is set to break boundaries for female characters on TV once again.
Now that the main female leads are quinquagenarians, that makes Noth in his 60s — 66 to be exact. And although he might be a few decades older than when he first appeared on our screens, he's no less good-looking. Let's take a look at what the actor looks like now and find out what else he's been up to.
Although he might be best known to a wider female audience for his role as Mr. Big, Chris Noth has actually enjoyed success in various television series, as well as theater and film, over the years. From 1990 to 1995 he played NYPD Detective Mike Logan on "Law & Order," a role which he reprised from 2005 to 2008 on "Law & Order: Criminal Intent." And more recently he played Peter Florrick from 2009 to 2016 on the show "The Good Wife." But let's take a look at how he got his start in show business.
After growing up in Stamford, Connecticut, the youngest of three sons to news reporter mother Jeanne Parr, Noth was affected by his father's untimely death from a car accident when he was just 11 years old. Exhibiting a rebellious streak in his youth, his mom nearly sent him to an all-boys boarding school but Noth managed to convince her to send him to an experimental art school instead. Not only did the school curb his wild ways but it inspired him to pursue a career in the arts, eventually leading him to the theater.
Following high school, his training included studying under prestigious acting coaches Sandy Meisner and Stella Adler for a time, and after being accepted into both Juilliard and Yale School of Drama, Noth opted for the latter as it was a shorter degree.
After he finished studying, Noth cut his teeth in the theater and initially turned down working in television, but eventually opened up to roles on TV in a bid to get more work, as theater roles were harder to come by. This was when he appeared in the pilot for "Law & Order," which led to his long-running time on the show.

Since then, Noth has been working steadily in TV and film, and he still makes the time to perform in the theater too. However, these days his iconic roles precede him, especially his signature role as "Sex and the City"'s Mr. Big.
But what's most refreshing about Noth is that, unlike his TV persona, he's incredibly down to earth and quite the family man. In a 2008 interview with Entertainment Weekly, Noth recalled how after leaving a Los Angeles restaurant one night with his then-girlfriend Tara Wilson, he overheard fans say:
"'Oh my God, he’s riding in a Toyota. Mr. Big would never ride in a Toyota.’" He explained to EW: "But I don’t give a s— about cars.”
Noth would go on to marry Wilson and together the gorgeous couple has two sons — Orion, 13, and Keats, 1. Noth frequently posts photos of his family to his social media channels and his elder son is proving to be just as handsome as his dad. Speaking to Broadway.com about becoming a father at the age of 53, Noth revealed:
“It’s not something that I expected would happen, so it just goes to show you that life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans."
And as for Noth, he's proving he's just as handsome as ever. The 66-year-old doesn't look all too different from his "Sex and the City" days, although he could now be considered a "silver fox." He's still working more than ever and is set to appear in the new "Sex and the City" reboot, "And Just Like That...," although it's still unclear how big (no pun intended) his role will be.
