Childhood sweethearts Madeline and Malachi Dressel have amassed a unique collection of 200 plastic dolls that they jokingly refer to as their children. The couple from South Carolina shares an interest in secondhand goods, vintage clothing, and other types of antiques.

In 2016, the pair were shopping at a thrift store when they found a life-sized doll and could not help but fall in love with it. As a little girl, Madeline had always loved playing with dolls. But it was not until they moved in together that Malachi realized that he also enjoyed this hobby. Malachi said that as a child, he was always encouraged to play with more masculine toys, he told Barcroft TV.

But once he moved in with Madeline, he realized that he also had a passion for playing with dolls. After the initial doll purchase, the couple has since gone on to purchase more than 200 plastic dolls. 30 of these dolls are considered to be life-sized. The couple says that they are not using the dolls to replace having real children. Instead, they use the dolls as a hobby and a creative outlet.

The couple started an Instagram account to chronicle their daily lives with dolls. They participate in a variety of activities with the dolls, including shopping, spa days, and tea parties. While the social media account was initially started to poke fun at their friends with children and their staged photos, the account has quickly gained in popularity because of its light-hearted nature.

Although some critics think the doll hobby is creepy, the Dressel's are proud of their growing collection. Check out this video of all of these dolls to see what you think about it. After you have watched the video, be sure to spread the story to all of your friends to see what they think of this interesting lifestyle.
