Taylor has been CEO of the famous steakhouse brand since 2011. A spokesperson from the company told The Hill:
“Kent Taylor has always said that Texas Roadhouse is a People-company that just happens to serve great steaks. His donation of his salary and bonus to help employees is the embodiment of that saying. We are blessed to have his leadership.”
According to Louisville Business First, Taylor’s salary was approximately $1.3 million in 2018. Unfortunately as the coronavirus continues to spread worldwide, the company, which has over 500 restaurants in 49 states, has had to temporarily shut their doors to customers in a bid to help contain the outbreak, reports The Hill.
This CEO sets a fine example of how to be a boss during hardship and undoubtedly other CEOs will follow suit. Pay it forward by sharing this act of goodwill with your friends and let us know which acts of kindness you've witnessed lately.
