This past Saturday, singer Céline Dion performed her last show at Ceasars Palace's Colosseum in Las Vegas, Nevada. The singing legend had taken up residence in the entertainment capital for 16 years. Her performance on Saturday became emotional as she was joined by her sons on stage to pay tribute to their father and her late husband.

Over the weekend, Céline Dion performed the last and final show of her Las Vegas residency. Since she began in Las Vegas in 2003 she has performed over 1000 times according to Good Morning America. In 2016, Céline lost her husband and manager of over 20 years to a heart attack.

Speaking to ET Canada, Céline said her husband had played a pivotal role in her taking up residence in Las Vegas. At that point in time, Vegas was where careers went to die. However, the decision ended up being a smashing success.

Céline said, "16 years is a long time, I will cherish this Las Vegas experience for the rest of my life because it's not about a two week's journey. I was and still, am very fortunate. I've had a career and still have a career and Las Vegas, the Colosseum is part of my journey in the music industry, and I'm very thankful."

During Céline's last show at the Colosseum, she debuted her new song "Flying on My Own." Although this is her last performance in Vegas, the singer will continue to perform when she goes on her Courage world tour later this year. The tour dates have already been released on her website

In a video captured by a fan at her last Las Vegas show, Céline Dion tells the audience as her last song of the evening she would like to sing one that is very sentimental to her. She begins in a beautiful pitch singing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow." In the background on stage photos of Céline, her husband, and family are played on a slideshow. The crowd erupted with cheers at the end of her song.

After her song, her sons walked out on stage to give their mother roses for her performance and to help pay tribute to their father. Other stage members also came to join and the group stretched across the stage all held hands to take one last final bow.
